Steve Angarthal

Eclectic guitar player, Steve Angarthal , leaves no room to doubts: guitar is his natural extension and the intense flow of sounds and emotions springing in every concert and recorded track really stand out!

Known for being the guitar player of the Italian metal band Fire Trails , founded in 2000 together with the legendary Rock Italian singer Pino Scotto, he stormed several audiences such as those present at most important metal festivals like Gods of Metal, Iron Fest and Agglutination.

Stylistically he relies on sacred rock monster's tradition such as R. Blackmore, J. Hendrix, J. Page and more recent Y. Malmsteen, S. Vai and J. Satriani; and it's in his personal synthesis that is possible to hear influences ranging from blues, rock to metal blended together in an awesome mix. .

Angarthal's musical knowledge is also widened by his past disparate studies.

He studies functional harmony and composition for big band and orchestra with maestro Filippo Daccò; classical guitar, in the beginning of his musical path with maestro Marco Biassoni and then as self taught; jazz rock guitar is deepened in London with Shaun Baxter; composition and arrangement for classical orchestra that, with musical cooperation of Violinist Mauro Catalano, will lead to give life to “Cordis ensemble” featuring string orchestra and electric guitar as soloist instrument: finally Angarthal is also fond of world-wide musical traditions in the like of Flamenco, Indian and arabian or eastern European music.

Since 2000 he's endorsing Loud guitars, Milan based guitar maker for whom Angarthal showcases in most relevant Italian musical fairs such as Second Hand Guitars e Guitar Day.

Sound and its qualities, both in acoustical and electrical terms, is also a very important aspect of Angarthal musicianship and tech skills: this is supported firstly by his presence as a teacher in Italian centre of the international institution SAE (school of audio engineering), and secondly by long years spent in recording studios and live shows both as audio engineer and programmer.

Furthermore Angarthal has devoted himself since the beginning of the new Millenium to guitar teaching and starting with private guitar lesson he entered teaching stuff of different music school like Accademia di musica Sondriese, Il borgo della musica and Rock Tv School.

Year 2007 shows lots of artistic ferment as it begins the writing and pre production of Fire Trails new release awaited for 2008, and, at the same time, it sees Angarthal busy with recording guitar solos for other projects like funk rock bass player Marco Castelli solo project “XXIX Anima” , Italian AOR band “Myland” headed by drummer Paolo Morbini and singer Pino Scotto with his solo cd “ Datevi fuoco”.

Then, in 2010, the independent label Asgardh Music releases Dragon's Cave's cd entitled“ Elektro motion” which becomes available on all digital stores and gets also the supporting videoclip “drifting on” broadcast on rock tv channel and on the web .

This work, based on a long selection of songs, electrical and acoustical instrumentals, showcases Steve Angarthal with all the different nuances of his stylistics being both melodic and virtuoso at the same time, intriguing and captivating since the first notes the listener hears!

Studia composizione ed armonia funzionale per big band e orchestra con il M° Filippo Daccò; chitarra classica, all'inizio del suo percorso musicale con il M° Marco Biassoni, e poi come autodidatta; jazz rock guitar con Shaun Baxter a Londra; composizione e arrangiamento per orchestra classica, che, con la collaborazione del M° violinista Mauro Catalano, sfocerà nella formazione del Cordis ensemble , un'orchestra d'archi con chitarra elettrica solista di Angarthal.

Coltiva inoltre un forte interesse per le musiche di tutto il mondo come il Flamenco, la musica indiana o le tradizioni dell'Europa dell'est.

Dal 2000 è endorser delle chitarre Loud guitar s, affermato liutaio milanese per il quale partecipa in qualità di dimostratore a vari eventi musicali dedicati alla chitarra, come Second Hand Guitars e Guitar Day.
